Vardorvis, Duke Sucellus, the Leviathan, and the Whisperer - four solo bosses built on reskinned OSRS models, each with its own attack pattern and its own ancient ring.
Vardorvis is a fast, aggressive melee attacker that fights almost entirely up close. Its signature attack is Swinging Axes: it marks your tile and the four tiles around you with a warning splash, then after a short delay the marked ground erupts - stand on a marked tile when it lands and you take heavy damage that ignores your defence bonuses, so the only real counter is moving off the marked tiles in time. If you try to kite out of melee range, Vardorvis switches to the Strangler's Head, a ranged tendril snipe that punishes running away instead of trivializing the fight. Below 30% health it enrages - "THE STRANGLER HUNGERS!" - and its attack speed increases for the rest of the fight.
Duke Sucellus fights at range with heavy magic bolts and two set-piece mechanics. Noxious Gas lobs a gas cloud onto your position that lingers for three pulses, damaging anyone standing in it and draining Attack and Strength each time it ticks - step out of the cloud to stop the bleed. Stare of the Deep is a telegraphed gaze attack ("Gaze upon the abyss!") that punishes standing still: if you're on the exact same tile when the gaze lands, you take a hefty hit and get stunned for a few ticks - moving during the wind-up avoids it entirely, mirroring the real fight's sleep mechanic.
The Leviathan alternates its basic attack between a ranged orb and a magic orb every other hit, so a single protection prayer never fully shuts its damage off - matching the real fight's core idea of forcing prayer swaps. Periodically it unleashes a Lightning Volley ("The storm answers!"): five tiles around your position are telegraphed and then struck, hitting anyone caught standing on a marked tile for heavy unavoidable magic damage.
The Whisperer alternates magic and ranged bolts at range, and adds a melee Trample attack when you're standing next to it. Its two special mechanics: Soul Siphon ("Your soul is mine to whisper to...") is a screech that drains a chunk of your prayer points and heals the Whisperer for twice the amount drained - keep prayer topped up or accept the trade-off. Shadow Tendrils telegraphs and then erupts on the five tiles around your position, hitting anyone still standing on a marked tile for heavy unavoidable magic damage - the same warn-then-erupt pattern used by Vardorvis' axes and the Leviathan's lightning.
Each of the four DT2 bosses drops its own named vestige item. Use a vestige on 3 Chromium Ingots while carrying all 3 in your inventory to forge that boss's ancient ring - the vestige and the three ingots are consumed and the finished ring is added to your inventory. This mirrors the real DT2 mechanic, minus the 90 Magic requirement gate.
| Boss | Vestige | Ring forged |
|---|---|---|
| Vardorvis | Ultor vestige | Ultor ring |
| The Whisperer | Bellator vestige | Bellator ring |
| Duke Sucellus | Magus vestige | Magus ring |
| The Leviathan | Venator vestige | Venator ring |
The DT2 boss pool also drops Chromium Ingots (the material needed to forge every ring) and Burning claws, a melee special weapon whose special attack (Burning Barrage) fires three quick slashes and sets the target alight for extra burn damage if any of them land.
A Morphscape-original Saga boss, not from Desert Treasure II: a towering stone horror pulled from the cracks in the Weave. It's primarily a heavy melee slammer with two ranged-punishing mechanics. Stone Barrage hurls shattered rock at the five tiles around your position when you try to kite out of melee range, so standing back isn't a safe way to avoid its melee hits. Seismic Slam is a telegraphed ground-pound ("BRACE YOURSELF.") that deals heavy unavoidable damage to anyone still adjacent when it lands - move away during the wind-up. Below one-third health it enrages, attacking noticeably faster for the rest of the fight.
Drops the Colossus Maul. As with the DT2 bosses above, no formal drop-rate table for this boss was found in the server source, so no odds are listed.
