The Morphscape Saga - a fully original questline you won't find on any other server. Two quests in, with more ages planned.
Morphscape's lore centers on the idea that Gielinor was never one world - it's one of countless overlapping Gielinors now "folding" together, a phenomenon travellers have started calling the Morphscape. The Saga is told through the Gielinor Guide (found at home) and a recurring, ancient figure named Kharos. It's told in "Ages" - Age One is Cracks in the Weave, and Age Two opens with Echoes of a Perfect Champion. Both quests are started and progressed entirely by talking to the Gielinor Guide at home.
The Gielinor Guide pulls you aside, unsettled - he's been noticing things that don't add up: trees that seem to stand in two places at once, conversations that feel half-remembered before they happen. He explains that Gielinor was never really a single world; countless other Gielinors are folding into this one, and he himself is "something of a leftover" from an earlier fold, remembering conversations that haven't happened yet. He tells you the old gods have noticed the seams too, and have started reaching for champions again. Travellers have taken to calling the phenomenon the Morphscape. He asks you to go look properly at the Morphscape Teleporter at home - somewhere you walk past every day without a second thought.
Investigating the teleporter triggers the quest's centerpiece: your hand passes through the stone for half a heartbeat, and a Fractured Crystal falls loose into your hand. A spectral figure calling himself Kharos appears out of nowhere and tells you to put it down. He warns that the crystal "remembers a Gielinor that already ended" and that chasing its memory will only bring grief - calling it a mercy, not a threat, from someone who made the same mistake himself once. He vanishes, telling you to keep the crystal but report back to your Guide instead of coming looking for him. Returning to the Gielinor Guide to recount the encounter completes the quest - he's rattled that Kharos is still "walking, in whatever's left of him," and rewards you for surviving the brush with the Morphscape.
A short, single-sitting vision quest. The Gielinor Guide asks whether you still have the Fractured Crystal from the first quest, and offers to show you what it remembers - warning you it isn't a memory of his, and it "isn't kind." As long as you hold onto the crystal, he shows you a vision from four thousand years ago: a city of white stone and six-coloured banners, built around a single unremarkable-looking young man who bears the symbols of all six gods on his coat. He isn't powerful - he's important because he's the only place left where all six sides still have to be civil with each other, settling disputes between temples that have hated one another for a thousand years.
The vision turns: the sky breaks in a way skies aren't meant to, and the six banners bleed together into a seventh, nameless colour that was never supposed to exist, consuming the champion. His last words, barely audible, are "Please - let this part stay real." The vision collapses. Kharos appears again, shaken that you stayed and watched quietly rather than looking away. He confirms the vision was his own past, and that he's spent four thousand years being asked to leave "the Anchor" alone by people who pity him for it - and that he'll keep asking you to do the same, "until one of us runs out of chances to ask," while admitting he already knows it won't stop you. The Guide closes the quest by warning you plainly that this isn't the end of it - more pieces of the story, and more attention from the gods, are coming.
